n.o.e.'s notes:
- Tia of Buttercream Barbie was responsible for choosing this week's recipe. If you'd like the recipe for these Pecan Powder Puffs, click over to her blog.
- This recipe is Dorie Greenspan's version of Mexican wedding cookies.
- The recipe came together easily. The only thing I changed was to use freshly-grated nutmeg instead of cinnamon.
- I found that my melon ball tool was perfect for scooping out the cookie dough into smooth spheres.

the verdict:
These were crumbly, buttery, melt-in-your-mouth delicious cookies. I'm thrilled to add them to my cookie repertory.

Ooh, I like your nutmeg idea--I love nutmeg. =)
These are something I have yet to make. So many recipes so little time:D
I like these too.....nice, easy, reliable cookie.
Melon baller....your brilliant.
I just used my smallest cookie scoop.
I like the nutmeg addition. I like freshly grated nutmeg in most everything!
Buttery, melt-in-your-mouth delicious cookies, that would seriously make me deliriously happy. Perfect for a garden party filled with flowers in bloom, I could drank myself a tea for that. Yummy.
Been meaning to make some of these. And great idea with the nutmeg. There are very few things that can't be made better with a little nutmeg :).
Melon baller a great idea! Your cookies don't look nearly messy enough...lol...one should have powdered sugar all over themselves when one eats these! They look good, just kidding around.
